Marks the fourth investment completed under Angelini Ventures’ €150 million co-investment partnership with the European Investment Bank in less than 12 months

Regina Hodits from Angelini Ventures to join Rouge Therapeutics’ Board of Directors

Rome, Italy, 6 October 2026 – Angelini Ventures, the venture arm of Angelini Industries focused on investing globally in companies developing innovative solutions in BioTech and HealthTech, today announces it has co-led a $58 million Series A financing in Rouge Therapeutics, a preclinical-stage biotechnology company developing potential first-in-class, disease-modifying therapies for rare vascular diseases.

The financing was co-led by Angelini Ventures, with support from the European Investment Bank (EIB) via Angelini Ventures’ Aurea co-investment vehicle, alongside co-lead investors BioGeneration Ventures (BGV) and Kurma Partners. Epidarex Capital, Vesalius Biocapital Partners, ROM-Utrecht Region, p53 Invest and Kerna Ventures also participated in the round.

This financing marks the fourth co-investment completed by Angelini Ventures and the EIB in less than 12 months under their €150 million partnership, which was established in December 2025 to support European companies developing innovative solutions across biotechnology, medtech and digital health.

Proceeds from the fundraise will be used to support RougeTx’s lead program, RTX-001 as it advances toward first-in-human clinical development for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). HHT is the second most common inherited bleeding disorder. The disease is caused by abnormal blood vessel formation known as arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), which can lead to recurrent nose and gastrointestinal bleeding, iron deficiency, chronic anemia, and potentially serious complications affecting major organs. There are currently no approved therapies for HHT, and patients rely largely on supportive care and off-label treatments.

Regina Hodits, Managing Director of Angelini Ventures will join the Rouge Therapeutics Board of Directors.

“RougeTx is taking an innovative and highly differentiated approach to vascular disease by focusing on the critical role of pericytes in maintaining blood vessel stability, this is very different to other treatment paradigms in the field,” said Regina Hodits, Managing Director of Angelini Ventures. “RTX-001 has the potential to provide a new treatment option for people living with HHT, while exploiting the novel underlying biology opens up opportunities in other diseases marked by vascular instability.

“The strength of the science and the team’s execution have reinforced our conviction in the approach, and we are excited to support the company as it advances towards clinical development. This investment reflects our increased focus on our company building strategy, backing high-potential science and strong founder teams. Angelini Ventures will actively support these companies on their journey to becoming global leaders.”
